Why measured shutters feel better to live with

Cleaner movement

Panel sizes and opening directions are planned so shutters clear handles and work smoothly.

Two distinct looks

We help you choose between concealed control and a visible centre rod that suits the room.

Clear online pricing

Selected shutter estimates already include the main essentials, not a list of later extras.

Shutters planned around the window, not forced onto it

Shutters look simple when they are done properly, but the detail sits in the planning. We measure each window to its exact shape and size so the finished panels sit neatly, move cleanly and give you steady control over light, privacy and the outside view. Hidden Tilt shutters keep the operating mechanism out of sight for a cleaner look, while Centre Rod shutters put the control bar front and centre for a more classic appearance. From Caterham, we visit to see how your window is used day to day, because a bedroom sash, a kitchen casement and a front bay do not all want the same layout.

Choices that affect how the shutters live with the room

The best result comes from more than choosing a colour. We help you decide panel splits, louvre size, frame position and hinge direction so handles, sills and opening sections still work as they should. That matters if you want to clean the glass, lean on the sill or open the window on a warm day without the shutters getting in the way. For Hidden Tilt and Centre Rod styles, our online estimates cover VAT, delivery, comprehensive measuring, installation and a 10-year warranty, so you can compare options without guessing what has been left out.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Hidden Tilt and Centre Rod shutters?

Hidden Tilt shutters keep the operating mechanism inside the panel, so the front looks cleaner and more minimal. Centre Rod shutters use a visible bar down the middle, which gives a more traditional look and a very obvious point of control when adjusting the louvres.

Will shutters stop me opening the window or using the sill?

Not if they are measured and planned properly. We look at handles, recess depth, sill use and the way each opening moves before we confirm the layout. That lets us set panel breaks, frame position and hinge direction so the shutters work with the window rather than against it.

Can I get a price before a full home visit?

Yes. If you send photos or rough measurements, we can put together an initial estimate for Hidden Tilt or Centre Rod shutters. Once you are happy to move forward, we visit to take comprehensive measurements so the shutters can be made and fitted accurately.
